
SENIOR ENVIRONMENT ARTIST
Fabrik Games is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Environment Artist to work on an exciting AAA sci-fi/horror project. You will be working within an established team of artists and will support the Art Director and Lead Artist to help push the visual quality of the game. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has previous senior experience or who is looking to take a step up into a more senior role.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Create interesting, detailed and visually appealing props and environments within an established game world

Work closely with other disciplines to deliver assets to a high standard

Take game levels from conception to final lighting and optimisation

Be a mentor to junior members of the Art team and assist in their development

A strong understanding of game optimisation techniques
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
-
4+ years of experience working on published video game titles

Thorough understanding of environment art pipelines and workflows
-
Expert level of 3D software experience (eg. Maya/Modo)

Expert level of texturing software experience (eg. Substance)
-
Strong hard surface and organic modelling skills
-
Strong understanding of modular kit workflows

Strong trim sheet and decal texturing skills

Strong understanding of PBR

Experience using current-generation game engines (eg. UE4/Unity)

Experience with game lighting techniques and implementation

Experience shipping games on console

Able to communicate, organise, prioritise and multitask effectively

Ability to work in a team, within deadlines and time constraints
-
Able to work with a high degree of self-direction and motivation
NICE TO HAVE

Experience using Quixel

Experience using ZBrush

Knowledge of composition and visual storytelling

Experience working in Virtual Reality
