Fabrik is a unique independent studio looking to expand its highly experienced team. Previous titles we have worked on include, The Lost Bear and The Persistence, which have received high Metacritic scores over 77 and 78 respectively. We are currently working on an incredible AAA cross-platform title, with more exciting projects in the pipeline.

Based at The Sharp Project, we are just 5 minutes away from the vibrant Manchester city centre, with excellent transport links and free parking in the large car park next to the building.

Free weekly exercise classes are available for all staff, including Yoga and Meditation.

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated candidates who can work with us to develop exciting experiences, in a welcoming studio where you will be integral in shaping our games. In joining our team, you would have the opportunity to take ownership of key components of the production of a full game and further develop your skills and career. 



  • Strong working knowledge of C++

  • Familiarity with working in 3rd party engines like Unreal Engine 4 and Unity

  • Multiplatform development experience

  • At least 2 years in a Senior Programmer or Lead Programmer role

  • Approachable attitude and work ethic

  • A self-motivated worker who can prioritise tasks for entire code team

  • Exceptional management and communication skills.

  • Sound understanding of software development practices.

  • Ability to adapt or suggest adaptations to existing Engines and Workflows

  • Good working knowledge of continuous integration practices



  • Take the lead in code direction for the studio.

  • Provide concise development progress updates to production team.

  • Able to provide feedback, guidance and advice to code team as needed.

  • Identify development risks on projects and develop contingency plans to put into place with the team.

  • Be able to grow and develop the code team, with a focus on mentoring, developing team members and performance management.

  • Be responsible for ensuring we follow solid coding practices and maintaining a high bar for our code quality.
